Public Announcement

**** Coronavirus Update****

Due to the decreased threat of the coronavirus (COVID-19) and the availability of vaccine(s), we are implementing the following operational changes effective July 6, 2021.

  • We are resuming normal operations while continuing to practice social distancing and monitoring the health of our employees.
  • The District office is open to the public. Customers may still make payments using online services, by phone or by dropping off payments at the drop box located at the District office.
  • Customer service calls will no longer be restricted to emergency situations and access to customer homes will be resumed. Please notify us in advance if you would like our employees to wear a mask when entering your home.
  • Public meetings of the Board of Directors will again be held at the District office.
  • Non-emergency service call appointments can now be scheduled.

Other important reminders for customers:

  • According to the World Health Organization (WHO), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and American Water Works Association (AWWA), coronavirus has not been detected and is not transmitted through drinking water.
  • In the unlikely case that a virus entered the water system, our treatment methods and disinfection processes would remove or inactivate the virus that causes COVID-19.
  • Based on current evidence, the risk to water supplies is low. Customers can continue to use and drink water from their tap as usual.
  • To ensure all customers are treated equitably, now and in the future, we will not be offering any discounts or deferral of payments.
  • The shortage of paper products such as toilet paper can lead to complications with your sewer service and our sanitary sewer collection system.  Alternative products such as “disposable wipes”, napkins, paper towels, facial tissue and other paper products should NOT be flushed in toilets. Some products labeled as flushable do not break down causing costly and unsanitary wastewater back-ups into customer homes and businesses.

Unfortunately there are those who are always looking to take advantage of others during challenging times. Beware of fraudulent emails, texts and social media posts asking for personal information or immediate payment, and never click on suspicious links or attachments. If you question communications related to your water and/or sewer utility services, please contact us.
