2012 Special Districts Association of Colorado Honors
James W. Taylor
with Runner-Up For Board Member of the Year Award
The Special District Association of Colorado (SDA) annually presents this award to a special district board member who has demonstrated outstanding leadership, dedication and service to their district. The award was announced at the 37th SDA Annual Conference which was held in Keystone, Colorado September 19-21, 2012.
Mr. Taylor's tenure on the Board coincided with a critical period for the district, in which the Board was called upon to take decisive actions of monumental importance that secured a sustainable water supply for the District's long-term viability that is both cost effective and affordable in providing water service into the future. He participated in the Board's acquisition of Lake Woodmoor in 2001 in order to provide storage for exchange credits from Monument Creek along with the 2011 acquisition of the JV Ranch and its surface water rights.
The Special District Association is proud to recognize James W. Taylor as the Runner-Up for Board Member of the Year.
